Brazil Science without Borders – Visiting Research Student Program

Program Summary:
The Science without Borders Visiting Research Student program is sponsored by CNPq and CAPES, Brazilian government funding agencies. Scholarships will be given primarily to students in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields. Students in the program will be admitted as a visiting student and will return to Brazil to complete their doctoral degrees.
Program Duration: 1-2 semesters
Benefits: The Brazilian government will support the travel and provide scholarships for living expenses, installation assistance and health insurance.
Deadline: July 15 (fall semester enrollment) or November 15 (spring semester enrollment).
How to Apply:
Students interested in applying for this program will apply directly to the Brasil@Rice office. Students will be required to submit the documentation listed below as part of their application process, and should review the course catalog for a list of courses available.

Proof of financial support (scholarship award letter from Science without Borders)

Proof of meningitis vaccination or documentation of a scheduled appointment to be vaccinated
